Creality recently announced a new Core-XY 3D printing that has piqued a lot of interest even though it is still a mystery to most.
The Creality Ender 7 is the newest addition to the ever growing list of successful printers. The Ender series is probably the most well known in the industry and we hope this new printer will not disappoint. They have released a new video that, as a father who prints with his son, I really enjoyed.
The Ender 7 has some impressive features and has Creality making some pretty bold statements by claiming that this printer is capable of speeds up to 250mm/s. Other features include linear rails, a Core-XY structure, a customized high volume nozzle and high speed motors. They also claim it has a “minimalistic” design but from what I have seen, it seems rather large, bulky and from what The 3D Printing Nerd said, “It’s heavy.”
The build volume measures 250 x 250 x 300 mm. Not the biggest printer Creality offers but definitely plenty of space for most needs and a bit larger than my favorite Creality printer, the Ender 3 Pro.
My favorite thing about this printer is the Core-XY structure. Lauded as being fast while still maintaining a high print quality, it is highly regarded as the best form factor for 3D printers. This is not Creality’s first Core-XY machine, the Ender 6 and CR-30 are very popular and well performing machines. While being fast and accurate, the Core-XY design can present issues if not properly maintained. Maintaining proper belt tension is vital to producing quality prints.
As of writing this, we have no clue when the Ender 7 will be available to purchase or how much it will cost. However, if it performs as advertised and falls within the typical cost of a Creality printer, it will become the first of its kind and a must have.
